Fans of Supergirl and the Flash are looking forward to the crossover episode between the two shows set to air March 28th.

And we now have the official synopsis for the episode, entitled “World’s Finest”, which reads:

Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

So you know, it’s a classic tale of fast boy travels from alternate universe and helps alien girl with super abilities fight two powerful villains before traveling back home.

It think that’s Shakespeare.

In addition to the synopsis, EW has revealed an official poster for the crossover episode - an homage to the cover for Superman #199 which was about a race between The Flash and The Man of Steel.

This is similar to how The Flash Season 2 was promoted with a poster that was a shoutout to The Flash #123.

If homage posters is a trend that picks up for superhero shows- we’re into that.
